In the gorgeously aloof beauty of Glamour Angel Diana Dream, design- master Bob Mackie offers his interpretation of high fashion in the fabulous '30s. In this decade, more than at any other time. Hollywood became increasingly linked to haute couture, and film stars became the most influential fashion icons. Though the Stock Market Crash of 1929 and the subsequent Depression directly impacted the 1930s' culture, the movies provided escape through a fantasy world of wealth and glamour. Dianna Dream's royal purple and lavendar lamé one-shoulder gown spirals around her body with clinging fluidity and culminates in the regal sweep of her train. Her majestic Art Deco wings and halo enhance the effect. From her stately, chic turban to Mackie's unique rendition of the 1930s' ever-gloved hand. Glamour Angel Dianna Dream illustrates the sheer splendor of this decade's cutting-edge fashion. All the original paperwork is included.
