    Malcolm Ater (d.1992) founded the Commercial Comics Company in 1946 and was the principal
    source of political comics produced for and against U.S. senators and representatives in the
    1950s and 1960s.
    SEEING WASHINGTON was initially sold at newsstands and later remaindered to legislators for
    distribution to their constituents.
