Vintage Abalone Shell and Wood Lined Silver Trinket Box Jewelry Box
DESCRIPTION:
Vintage Mexico abalone shell wood lined rectangle hinged trinket/ jewelry box 3" (length) x 2.25" (width).
The box is composed of silver metal and covered on the top and all sides with rectangular and square pieces of abalone shell. There is a wooden insert which looks like mahogany. It sits on four rounded feet. The wood inside is sanded and very smooth. The shells represent iridescent colors in shades of pink, blue, green and opalescent white.
Has the number 38 carved into the bottom of box and inside of lid (see pictures).
CONDITION:
It's in excellent vintage condition with light signs of wear. Has the number 38 carved into the bottom of box and inside of lid (see pictures).
